The Cox-Deasy House, circa 1850, is a contrast to Oakleigh. It is a raised Creole Cottage, typical of the modest middle-class city dwellers along the Gulf Coast. It is furnished in simple 19th century pieces of good quality. Guided tours of Oakleigh and the Cox-Deasy House are conducted by members of the Society.
