Cruisin'
Hawaii - October
7 - 21,
2000
Hey everybody. I know you've been waiting to see
these. There are more coming (4 more rolls!!) but I wanted to go ahead and get
started. Most of them are pretty boring! There were some really beautiful
places but photos just don't do them justice.
When you click these links, it'll just bring up
the photo. You'll have to use your BACK button on your browser to get back
here. I didn't have time to make it any fancier than this.

The Road to Hana on Maui - went all the way around the
big crater thru desert-like areas and then rainforest. Our driver was an
Estonian refugee |
|

|
The Road to Hana - A black beach. It's black grainy
sand, the same texture as our sand but black. |

|
The Road to Hana - rocky surf. The photo doesn't do it
justice - those waves were really crashing! |
|

|
The Road to Hana - more rocky surf. It clouded up and
rained for about 5 minutes here. |
|

|
More crashing waves on the Road to Hana - actually this
was on the way back from Hana. Our driver bought a big bag of poi here. He said
it was "acquired" taste. |

|
The Road to Hana - I forgot what the official name of
these falls are, but the tourists call them the Seven Sacred Pools. This is
where they flow out to sea. |
|

|
Yours truly in front of the Seven Sacred Pools. I
probably should've taken a dip. |

Another view of the pools running out to sea. Still on
the Road to Hana! |
|

|
Climbed up further to take some more shots. I really got
a lot of exercise during the this trip. It probably saved me from gaining 20
pounds on the ship. |
